NOTE: For items in high demand, we require a $100.00 credit card deposit to confirm your booking.

Cancellation Policy:

  • More than 48 hours: Full refund.
  • 48-24 hours: Deposit can be applied to a future booking.
  • Less than 24 hours: The deposit is only refundable if the item is rented to another customer. And yes, you might wonder how you would know—we assure you, our integrity is paramount.

 

When collecting or receiving the equipment, we need the following:

Identification:
  • A current Victorian driver’s license is required to verify identity.
  • If you don’t have a valid Victorian license, bring a friend who does, and we can rent to them.

 

Payment, Booking Deposits, and Security Bonds:

We accept only Visa and Mastercard:
  • Visa, Mastercard: Payment includes the hire charge and a security bond (returned if the equipment comes back on time, undamaged, and without additional fuel or usage charges — $50.00 for items under $145.00 hire charge, $100.00 for other items).
  • No EFTPOS, Amex, Diners, cheques accepted. A working credit card meets part of our ID requirements.

 

Weekend and Same Day Rates:

What’s a Weekend? From Saturday morning to Monday morning. Early pickup is possible from Friday after 4.00pm, and returns are due by 7.00am Monday to qualify for the weekend rate.

What if there’s a breakdown when we’re closed (from noon Saturday until 6.00am Monday)? Simply call the branch you rented from and follow the voice instructions for assistance. Same Day Saver: Pick up and return on the same day, simplifying the rate calculation—ideal during daylight saving time by picking up after 4.00pm and returning by 8.00am the following day.

 

Our Damage Waiver and Theft Policy:

  • DAMAGE WAIVER: The rental fee includes a damage waiver premium unless stated otherwise. With the waiver, Tasi Equipment Hire covers repair or replacement costs for accidental damage, subject to a fee of $550 inclusive of GST or 10% of the costs, whichever is higher. Note: Water damage is not covered.
  • THEFT: If covered by the damage waiver and the equipment is stolen from a secured location, Tasi Equipment Hire will waive the replacement cost, subject to a $550 fee or 10% of the replacement cost, provided a police report confirming forced entry is submitted within 24 hours. Otherwise, the customer is liable for the full replacement cost.
